Cosmic Natal is an astrological birth chart calculator available as a website at cosmicnatal.com and as mobile apps for iOS and Android. Your privacy matters to us, and we want to be straightforward about what data we collect and what we don't.
The short version: Your birth chart is calculated entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information to our servers. We have no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking.
When you use cosmicnatal.com, all natal chart calculations are performed locally in your web browser using JavaScript. Your birth date, birth time, birth location, and name are processed entirely on your device and are never sent to our servers.
The only external network request the website makes is to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim geocoding service to look up city coordinates when you type a birth city. This request is sent directly from your browser to OpenStreetMap's servers and is subject to their privacy policy.
The Cosmic Natal iOS and Android apps perform all calculations on your device. The apps do not communicate with our servers. City lookup uses the same OpenStreetMap Nominatim service described above. Saved charts are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted anywhere.
Like most websites, our web server automatically records standard access logs when you visit cosmicnatal.com. These logs may contain:

Cosmic Natal includes a feature that lets you share your chart via a URL. When you use this feature, your birth details (first name, date of birth, time of birth, and birth location) are encoded into the URL as query parameters. If someone opens a shared link, those parameters appear in the page URL and will therefore be recorded in our standard server access logs.
We want to be transparent about this: we do not use this information for any purpose. Server logs are maintained for routine operational purposes only and are periodically deleted. We do not extract, analyze, or share any personal information from these logs.
If you are sharing a chart and prefer not to have birth details appear in server logs, you can share a screenshot of your chart instead of using the link feature.
The website uses your browser's localStorage to save charts you choose to keep. This data is stored entirely on your device and is never transmitted to us. You can clear saved charts at any time through the Saved Charts menu, or by clearing your browser's site data for cosmicnatal.com.
Cosmic Natal does not use cookies, analytics services, advertising networks, or any form of user tracking. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any similar service.

Cosmic Natal does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The application does not require account creation or submission of any personal data to our servers.
